THE PASSAGE, After Turner

This oil painting was inspired by JMW Turner who visited the Swiss Alps in 1802 and made a gruelling journey walking up the Schollenan Gorge and St Gotthards pass: this painting depicts the Schollenan Gorge.

Turner created a water colour of this gorge which based my oil painting on.
